Predoctoral fellow: Ida is a qualitative and critical researcher who is a DrPH candidate at UC Berkeley School of Public Health. Her current research is focused on framing police violence as a public health issue by examining the experiences of Black and Latina women in Oakland. Ida’s research will explore the extent to which substance use is a health outcome as a result of exposure to police violence. Her mentors at ARG are Nina Mulia, DrPH, and Christina Tam, PhD.
