Predoctoral Fellow: Kira is a Doctor of Public Health student at the University of California, Berkeley. She has over 10 years of experience implementing and evaluating addiction and mental health treatment programs for people experiencing homelessness and justice-involved individuals. Kira’s interests include the use of mixed-methods research to evaluate trauma interventions. Her dissertation research will examine housing and employment stability in formerly incarcerated black women with a history of substance use disorder. Kira received her MPH in Health Promotion/Disease Prevention from The George Washington University.
Her mentor is Amy Mericle.
