Predoctoral Fellow: Kelly is a PhD student in Social Welfare at the University of California-Berkeley. A licensed social worker, Kelly has provided individual and group therapy to clients, in a variety of settings including drug and alcohol inpatient rehabilitation, for almost 10 years primarily in New York City and also Berkeley. She is trained in several evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness interventions. Kelly’s research blends her practice experience with research interests of positive emotions, mindfulness-based interventions, well-being, addiction and recovery. She is interested in exploring the concept of self-love and determine its efficacy and effectiveness for those in recovery.
