Sarah Zemore, Ph.D.

Background Information and Areas of Research

Sarah Zemore is a scientist at ARG.

Her areas of interest include treatment seeking and treatment outcomes among substance abusing populations. She is also interested in the roles of race, gender, and socioeconomic status in all aspects of substance abuse.

Past work at ARG has examined the roles of Alcoholics Anonymous, peer helping, and spirituality in recovery; other work has examined alcohol consumption and treatment utilization among Latinos in the United States. Recently, Zemore has explored applications of the Theory of Planned Behavior (Ajzen, 1985) toward understanding treatment motivation.
