Please note that ARG may be reached from the MacArthur BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station in Oakland via the free Emery Go Round shuttle [Powell-Shellmound Route].  The Emeryville AMTRAK station is several blocks away.  AC Transit’s bus line No. 57 route in Oakland, and which parallels the Emery Go Round from the MacArthur BART station, will take you to ARG also.  The AC Transit Transbay route Z will take you from San Francisco’s Transbay Terminal to ARG.

Directions for automobile  follow. 

• turn right at Hegenberger Road
• Turn right onto I-880 to Downtown Oakland
• Go north (the Bay is on your left) on I-880
• After passing Jack London Square/Oak Street Exit  quickly get into right lane and flow right into Highway 980 to Highway 24/Walnut Creek Exit [see alternate if missed turn]
• Take the I-580 ramp to San Francisco
• Merge  right into I-80 toward Sacramento; SF Bay will be on the left
• Take the Powell Street exit; turn right.
• Turn left at Christie Avenue.
• From California State University, Hayward, and Mission Blvd.: Take  580 West
• Merge  right into I-80 toward Sacramento; SF Bay will be on the left
• Take the Powell Street exit; turn right.
• Turn left at Christie Avenue.
• Alternate (and if you missed the exit): Go to Ashby Avenue Exit, immediately veer right to Shellmound Street turnout..
• Turn right at the Stop sign.
• At 67th St. Stop sign, turn right.

• Go north on 101, following signs for Bay Bridge/I-80 East
• Travel across the Bay Bridge
• Stay in left lane and go north to I-80 East/Berkeley/Sacramento
• Take the Powell Street exit; turn right.
• Turn left at Christie Avenue.
• Alternate (and if you missed the exit): Go to Ashby Avenue Exit, immediately veer right to Shellmound Street turnout.
• Turn right at the Stop sign.
• At 67th St. Stop sign, turn right.

• Cross the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge to 580 East (go with the flow)
• Join I-80 West
• Option 1: Exit right onto Ashby Avenue overpass
• Turn right at Seventh Street (just past Ashby Lumber).
• Turn right at Folger Avenue and follow the left curve to Hollis Street.
• Turn right on 67th Street and cross the railroad Tracks and past Shellmond Street
• Option 2: Take the (next) Powell Street exit; turn right.
• Turn left at Christie Avenue.

• Stay on I-80 West
• Option 1: Exit right onto Ashby Avenue overpass
• Turn right at Seventh Street (just past Ashby Lumber).
• Turn right at Folger Avenue and follow the left curve to Hollis Street.
• Turn right on 67th Street and cross the railroad Tracks and past Shellmond Street
• Option 2: Take the (next) Powell Street exit; turn right.

• Turn right at the Stop sign.
• At 67th St. Stop sign, turn right.

• Stay on Highway 24 (to Oakland)
• Exit right onto 580 West toward San Francisco
• Merge  right into I-80 toward Sacramento; SF Bay will be on the left
• Take the Powell Street exit; turn right.
• Turn left at Christie Avenue.
• Alternate (and if you missed the exit): Go to Ashby Avenue Exit, immediately veer right to Shellmound Street tournout.
• Turn right at the Stop sign.
• At 67th St. Stop sign, turn right.
