Maria Nunes Dinis is an affiliate
scientist at ARG and an associate professor at the division of social
work of the Her research interests include: alcohol/drug
treatment, policy, and prevention; abstainer-modeled organizations;
alcohol and drug history; international social work; educational
exchange programs related to social work; women’s health; and
multicultural issues related to alcohol/drugs, women, and global social
work. Dinis holds a master’s in social
work from She is a member of the Committee for the Protection of
Human Subjects (CPHS) at the California Health and Human Services
