Martha C. Beattie, Ph.D.

Background Information and Areas of Research

Martha Beattie is an affiliate scientist at ARG.

 

She has worked in both mental health and substance abuse treatment program evaluation, and is experienced working with large clinical, administrative and research databases. Her research interests include: substance abuse treatment outcomes; managed care for substance abuse treatment services; matching patients to treatments to improve outcomes; enhancing client skills to improve daily functioning; and the role of social relationships, in particular social support, in improving alcohol and other drug use outcomes.

 

Beattie earned her doctorate in sociology from Boston University.
